The Joy of Serving

The more I reflect, the more I realize that I have lived a life of service.

I’ve been an Educator for decades and have served my students and staff up to the Leadership level having been a Principal in Primary Education in Jamaica.

I’ve also been a Broadcaster and Specialist News Reader having served at Radio Jamaica and the defunct HOT 102.

My service was also extended to the National Council on Education (NCE) where I enjoyed helping to adopt and formulate policies. I still have wonderful memories of the camaraderie with my former colleagues.

I’ve served on a school board where my advice as an educator was well received and which helped to inform their policies at the Early Childhood level.

The Jamaica Teachers’ Association, (JTA) under the Past President Dr Mark Nicely, gained my service as his PR Leader. That duty gave me great fulfillment, as the populace got an opportunity to see the professional arm of the JTA; and not only the Industrial Relations aspect as most people believe is its sole duty.

One of my greatest level of service is to my church and to the work of the Lord. I have seen lives turned from a path of destruction in a variety of ways; to a positive path of a life surrendered to God. This kind and degree of service has been the foundation for the other areas in which I have served or am currently serving.

Now, I continue to serve as a Purpose and Vision Coach and Mentor (Maxwell Leadership and Wired to Win DNA Certified) where I’ve helped persons to birth their Ministries, start their businesses, write books, go back to school or just change their mindset toward a transformed life. I’ve trained and continue to train persons in Public Speaking and Corporate Leadership where workers are taught to own their place of work, be the change they want to see there, add value and contribute to making the business a brand.

I look forward to continue serving and touching lives through this space by way of adding value and changing lives through my trusted and result oriented Coaching and Mentoring services. It is a joy to serve. There is indeed joy in serving.
