The School of Entrepreneurship Bursary Programme (‘Programme’) opens for applications on 15 January 2024 and closes on 26 February 2024 (‘Application Period’).

Sponsor

The sponsor of this Programme is the School of Entrepreneurship (‘Sponsor’). By participating in the Programme, each Applicant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the Sponsors’ decisions, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sponsor is responsible for the collection and processing of Applications and the overall administration of the Programme. Applicants should look solely to the Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the Programme. The Sponsor can be reached by email at shumba@schoolofentrepreneurship.co.

Bursaries

Applicants will each stand a chance to receive 1 (one) 4LIFE Entrepreneurship Programme™ bursary, each worth R18,000 (‘Bursary’). Each Recipient will receive access to their Bursary when the programme starts on 29 February 2024 and 5 March 2024 for the full-time and part-time programmes, respectively.

Eligibility

The Programme is open to applications from anyone 16 years or older (‘Applicant’) who accepts the Programme’s rules, terms, and conditions and meets the minimum qualification criteria. The Sponsor reserves the right to award any bursaries to anyone who meets the minimum qualification criteria or is deemed qualified. The Sponsors and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (the ‘Promotion Entities’) are ineligible to enter the Programme or receive a Bursary. Household Members and Immediate Family Members of such individuals are also not eligible to apply for or receive a Bursary. ‘Household Members’ shall mean those who share the same residence for at least three months a year. ‘Immediate Family Members’ shall mean parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. The Students who received a bursary in previous years are also ineligible. The Programme is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of South Africa and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Application

Apply during the Application Period by visiting www.schoolofentrepreneurship.co/bursary and going through the application process. All automated or robotic Applications will be disqualified. Any attempt by the Applicant to obtain more than one (1) Application by using multiple or different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial Programme subscription notification or entering services, will void the Applicant’s Applications and the Applicant will be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of a Bursary is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All Applicants must post their Applications during the Application Period to participate. The Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Programme.

Selection

The Recipients will be selected from among all eligible Applications received throughout the Programme Period. The final selection of the Recipients is done through an evaluation of the answers provided in the application form. The Applicant’s odds of receiving a Bursary will vary depending on the number of eligible Applications received during the Application Period. Successful Applicants will receive notification by email and SMS. At that point, the Recipient must pay a registration fee of R1,995 (incl. VAT) to claim their Bursary and access the Programme and student learning portal.

Communication

By participating in the Programme, Applicants agree to receive communication from the Sponsor via email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Applicants can unsubscribe anytime by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email or by replying “STOP” to any SMS or WhatsApp message.

Privacy

Any personal information supplied by you will be subject to the School of Entrepreneurship privacy policy (www.schoolofentrepreneurship.co.za/privacy-policy). By participating in the Programme, Applicants grant the Sponsor permission to share their name and photograph to promote future Programmes after the Application Period.

Cancellation

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Programme should a virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the Programme’s administration, security, fairness or proper conduct. In such a case, the Sponsor may select the recipients from all eligible Applications received before or after the action taken by the Sponsor. In their discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who violates these rules, terms, and conditions or tampers or attempts to tamper with the Application process, the operation of the Programme, or the website. The Sponsors have the right to maintain the integrity of the Programme, including but not limited to multiple Applications from the same user from different IP addresses, multiple Applications from the same computer, or the use of bots, macros, scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an Applicant to deliberately damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Programme may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by the law.

Liability

By participating, the Applicant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsors and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such Applicant’s participation in the Programme and/or their acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Bursary or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or internet service; (iv) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the Application process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of Applications.
