“First, I like to thank myself for taking the opportunity because I came through a bursary. And then, secondly, I would like to thank you, coach, for picking me up, and it’s been a journey.
If I say it was easy, I would lie, so it was not that easy. It was school, business, personal things hitting you left and right, but what I’ve learned in these sessions is that no matter what you are going through you have to be accountable for everything that you do. You need to be responsible for everything that you do.
There’s this time where people around me were just dying. I was just feeling left and right, and I thought that I should stop these sessions, because every time when I’m about to attend, I have to go in the morning, and come back late at night. But I’m very thankful that we also have the accountability group.
I just realized Sensiliwe and I are living in the same estate, and then Fara, and others were uplifting me, calling me every day asking, how am I doing? Because of that I was able to be strong, and I was able to come back to the sessions.
Leon, when it comes to you, and what you are talking like, you can see through your eyes, you mean it, it has life in it, so everything, everyone, every question that you attended to, you could see that you had that passion. You were not just opening the school because maybe you wanted money or something, but you opened it because you had passion and you saw a need for people like us. For example, someone like me in my family, we don’t have any business. I’m the first person to start a business. It was a very difficult journey, because nobody understood what I’m doing, but because of this group, because of this school they’re able to see where I’m going. I’m still struggling here and there, and as I said yesterday, I was struggling with pricing. Through what you explained, I was able to look at it, and then and immediately I came up with some solutions that I’m going to apply. Thank you to you and everyone on this group and on our group. We are continuing with our accountability sessions.”

“I just wanna express my gratitude to you, Leon. I mean for starting this program and for taking on some of us who really needed it.
We needed the inspiration to push so much that I have learned through this journey. I am in an industry where I am the only black female. That’s doing what I do, and the only company that’s doing what we are doing in South Africa. And I had, you know, I had that imposter syndrome. I had insecurities. “This was a very eye-opening journey in terms of learning new things, in terms of turning up, in terms of being consistent. I mean, as a 20 year old, one thing that I’ve battled with for a very long time, (and being on this journey for months), has told me that consistency is key in most things. It doesn’t have to be big, it doesn’t have to be extraordinary, you just have to be consistent if you want to achieve certain things in life. And one thing, Leon, is your heart. “The iEMP program has been instrumental in transforming my businesses. Having attended numerous entrepreneurship programs in the past, I can confidently say that iEMP stands out from the rest. Initially hesitant to join, I decided to have a 15-minute meeting with Leon, and it turned out to be a masterclass in itself.
One of the standout aspects of the program was the effective use of examples by the mentors during the presentations and accountability sessions. These real-life cases provided valuable support and inspiration.
